Shaft spins freely, as it should. New set of points, cap, rotor, and condenser installed. Part date 6l17 besides checking the point gap setting, this distributor is ready to install in your Pontiac and run. Original 1967 Pontiac Gto Firebird big block distributor.

Gear at end of shaft is in excellent condition. This distributor had a recent tune up. Was removed off of my running Pontiac Gto 400 big block engine and stored in garage a year ago when decided to go with electronic ignition system.
