I recommend it be fully serviced or restored prior to use. The bakelite lower cap is an original North East part with logo stamping, the upper cap and retainer knob appear to be newer replacements.

Note I have not used or tested this unit and I do not warranty its usability in any way. A metal nameplate tag is attached marked North East appliance corp.

The assembly is in good to very good used condition, it is clean with no apparent damage but some cosmetic wear.

Extremely rare original distributor assembly from a 1933 or 1934 packard eight or super eight.

The unit is long by 5 wide at the top cap.

It is stamped with under type and 1232 under serial.

The exterior surfaces are clean with a few surface scratches and paint loss from normal use. This is a complete example including points, condensers, rotor, 3 piece cap, and a spare set of replacement condensers. The main housing is cast iron with black wrinkle finish paint on the exterior and a grease cup attached to the bottom.

Manufactured by the North East appliance corporation, this is a high quality dual point unit with a double ended rotor designed for use with a dual coil system. The dual point sets and condensers appear to be the original North East parts.

The shaft base mount is machined aluminum painted dark green. My specialty is anything related to automobiles while her tastes are more eclectic.

A complete unit like this is very hard to find, perfect for restoration and use on your car or keep as a spare. The bakelite rotor is an original North East part stamped with the n e logo, it is in good condition with some wear but no cracks or damage.

The two spare condensers included appear to be unused newer replacements. The fabric covered wiring shows heavily worn insulation and should be replaced.

The lower cap shows some wear and some minor damage to the plastic where the 3 and 8 secondary cables attach but there appears to be no damage to the body of the cap or the brass terminals.
