I ll try to answer questions you post to me prior to buying or buying but if I can't answer them it cause I just don't know. The earliest advertising I have seen for this specific type of wire is 1941 and as late as 1958 I have not found whether the numbers on it are for a possible production date code, or if it is a part number.

Stainless steel wire, inner core of high dielectric compound, glass braided outer sheath of neoprene. I cannot possibly know everything about every item listed but I try my best to give you the most information possible and pictures so you can determine if the product is right for you. Some parts may be oem to one vehicle but also applicable to another. As far as oem pieces for sale I do try to take measurements, look up part casting numbers and look up parts in old catalogs but again I am no expert on every part listed.

Cable is marked Auto Lite in intervals along the wire in yellow as seen in photos.

Spool is stencil marked, looks military issued, believe WWII era see pics partial stencil is all that remains, so I cannot verify or cross check military part numbers wire will need wiped down cleaned prior to use as it has been in storage for many years, wire has absolutely no signs of cracks or dry rot and still very pliable I cut open a small piece of the wire so you can see exactly which type it is and have provided a picture from one of my Auto Lite wire catalogs for reference.

I have yet to see either in print from any Auto Lite catalog or reference.
