I read that the us Bmw 2002 's with automatics used a different model with vacuum advance. This Bmw 2002 tii distributor was used on the a couple of years on the tii fuel injected 4 cylinders. It looks good and the shaft feels tight when you try to wiggle it left and right. It is the more desirable is the complete Bosch number.

If you are staying with points, the lobes appear to be good with no wear. Gear looks good as well. 030 of an inch between the gear and the washer. I measured the gear end thrust to be about 0.

Only comes with parts shown in the photo's. It is a pure mechanical advance unit so it would also work well Weber's or other carbs without vacuum advance provisions. Do you own research before buying.

I would oil the advance unit lightly and try it like it is.
