I also have the installation paperwork and parts list which are included. I tested the components on my bench and when I hook up the power pack to the mini mag and energize the start circuit from the starter I get a nice spark. The magneto was rebuilt around 30 years and has been sitting in my garage since.

I also re coated the coil. It turns free and everything looks good except for a broken piece on the retaining cap, as shown in the picture.

This is a very rare Mallory magneto, or mini mag, it fits a 289 Ford small block engine. I cleaned up and replaced the hardware on the power pack.

While testing the magneto at 3800 rpm, the mini mag is only putting out approximately 8.
